Stefan Mayer to appear in Parramatta Court - Infringement notices laid by NSW Dept of Fair Trade

The NSW Department of Fair Trade issued a number of infringement notices against Stefan Mayer and his companies following their Public Warning issued on 27th January 2012. When he appeared in Parramatta Local Court in early March the NSW Department of Fair Trade issued him with some more infringement notices as a result of further complaints lodged with them by other scammed customers.

The next hearing is scheduled for the 26th-27th July 2012 at Parramatta Local Court. Let us hope that Stefan Mayer is found guilty of the charges and is made to pay for his fraudulent business dealings. He has stolen hundreds of thousands of dollars from customers he has scammed, failed to pay superannuation for employees, and not settled all his suppliers accounts. His company Scullery and Holt Interiors Pty Ltd went into liquidation in December 2011 with debts in excess of $800,000.00 which the liquidators indicate cannot be met as the company has no assets.
One wonders why the ASIC has not stopped him from operating as a director of any company. You would  have thought that the Australian Taxation Department might have also done something about his failure to pay superannuation for employees of his companies during the past ten to twelve years.

  1. Marie Campion is the GM (General Manager) of Marketing at The Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD). Marie Campion is also the wife of Stefan Mayer. Marie Campion has been working for AICD for 4 years. AICD is a membership organisation for company directors. With approximately 30, 000 members - this is no small collection of people. Lets look at their Vision statement from their website shall we? "Providing leadership on director issues and promoting excellence in governance to achieve a positive impact for the economy and society." Interesting. How then, can this organisation that is supposed to be the leader in its field and stand for so much in the way of ethics - employ Marie Campion while knowing her association to Stefan Mayer? It is most likely that she has had knowledge of all the fraudulent activities and failed businesses being conducted by her husband. Did the sale of their $1.6 million dollar house to her name for $1 in 2006, not raise any suspicions from her? For the AICD to keep someone like this in the employ when this matter became public (early 2012) speaks volumes of the integrity of their organisation. AICD members should be questioning the validity of materials received with Marie Campion spin doctoring the marketing messages for the company. The fact that Marie Campion's Facebook page is still public and showing photos of her and Stefan Mayer hamming it up in Bali on other peoples' money just demonstrates their flagrant disregard for the lost money of their victims.

  3. The Consumer Trader and Tenancy Tribunal (CTTT) on 23/08/2012 ordered Stefan Mayer to repay $18,595.00 to a customer. He was given seven days to do so. As Stefan Mayer has previously just ignored CTTT orders for amounts of $50,000; $6,000; $8,000.00; $15,000 and many more, he is not likely to obey this order. Stefan Mayer of Pymble still operating as Bespoke Installations Pty Ltd is due in Parramatta Local Court on 30th August 2012. The Department of Fair Trade have issued him with numerous infringement notices, to some of which he pleaded guilty at an earlier Court appearance. It is time the ASIC banned Stefan Mayer for life from being a director of any company. He has operated for more than ten years, scamming customers, suppliers, and employees. His phoenix companies go into liquidation or are deregistered after paying creditors a few cents in the dollar. His last company Scullery and Holz Interiors Pty Ltd was ordered by the Court into liquidation, upon the application of a customer who had previously obtained a CTTT Money Order for $50,000 which Stefan Mayer ignored. Liquidators soon found that there were no assets of any substance and creditors owed in excess of $800,000 would get nothing. Stefan Mayer is a con man. After that company was placed into liquidation Stefan Mayer told one of his employees that she should find another job. He failed to pay her some six week wages and had not paid approximately $50,000 into her superannuation fund during the ten years she had worked for him. Some ten years earlier he had also scammed another employee by not paying her superannuation either. His father Tom Mayer, who worked for the company, and Stefan Mayer's wife Marie Paula Campion (GM Marketing at the Australian Institute of Company Directors) are implicated with Stefan Mayer in his business dealings. Marie Paula Campion owns all the assets in Stefan's family home and denied under oath in Court that she had anything to do with Stefan Mayer's companies or business. Yet Marie Paula Campion at that time was on record at the ASIC as a shareholder in Bespoke Installations Pty Ltd and was also a director of at least one of Stefan Mayer's phoenix companies some years ago. Marie Campion ceased being a director of that company at the time Stefan Mayer transferred ownership of the family home into her name for $1.00. Why was that? Because they wanted to protect the asset from creditors? What a bunch of rogues!! Notice that their house at 10 St Andrews DrivePymble NSW is up for sale at $1,500,000 Are they about to abscond to Bali? Perhaps Stefan Mayer is planning to work for his ex boss who runs a business making furniture there.
